itunes not opening

itunes not opening, message square says itunes library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version.

Don't understand this. Tried downloading newer version. did disc utility repairs permissions. systems seem ok, but itunes remains unable to open. also, when i open music thru hard drive, it normally gives more options to open up library etc...now it goes straight to music folders. clicking them only gives the same result " itunes library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version."

ok to reply in swedish or english as soon as possible.

Just trash iTunes Library...a new library will be created next time you launch iTunes

Creating a new iTunes library may causing the itunes database updates
